Built by one person.
Hopefully bigger than one person.
"This was built by someone who got tired of watching this happen and decided to start writing it down."
I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a tech company. I'm not backed by a VC firm or an HR consultancy or anyone with a vested interest in how this turns out. I'm a person who has been through the job search process. The ghosting, the disrespect, the misleading postings, the interviewers who clearly hadn't read my application. And got tired of having nowhere to put it.
I built Noted Conduct because I believe that how a company treats candidates during hiring is a direct reflection of how they treat people. Not a performance. Not a brand exercise. The actual culture, visible before you've even signed an offer letter. And I believe that treating job seekers as disposable, as leads in a pipeline, as problems to be processed, is anti-human. Full stop.
And I believe that behavior without consequences is behavior that continues. So this is the beginning of consequences. Small ones, for now. A public record. A place where "we will keep your application on file" means something different than it used to.
What I know. And what I don't.
I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of this. I know that this problem is real and widespread and has been largely invisible because no one has had anywhere to document it. And yes, I used AI tools to help build and write this site. I think that's worth saying out loud, because this platform is built on honesty and it would be strange to be dishonest about that.
What I don't know: everything else. I'm not an expert in employment law. I don't know exactly where this goes. I'm figuring out the verification process as real reports come in. I'm one person doing this alongside everything else life requires.
I think that's okay to say out loud. This platform is built on honesty. It would be strange to be dishonest about what it is.
What I hope this becomes
I don't know where this goes. I'm not expecting to get rich from it. And I wouldn't want to, not in a way that compromised what it is. What I hope is that it resonates. That it becomes a resource people actually use and trust. That it makes even a small dent in the way companies think about how they treat candidates.
That's not a small thing. But it starts with writing it down.
